From coast to coast to coast, I acknowledge the ancestral and unceded territories of all the Inuit, Métis and First Nations people that call this land home. I acknowledge Indigenous people and knowledge keepers have been doing engineering for thousands of years but have not historically been recognized for their expertise. I affirm my commitment and responsibility as a settler to amplifying Indigenous ways of knowing and access to engineering in our work.

D'un océan à un autre, je reconnais les territoires ancestraux et non cédés de tous les Inuits, Métis et membres des Premières nations qui vivent sur cette terre. Je reconnais que les peuples autochtones et les gardiens du savoir pratiquent l'ingénierie depuis des milliers d'années, mais qu'ils n'ont pas été reconnus pour leur expertise. J'affirme mon engagement et ma responsabilité en tant que colon pour amplifier les modes de connaissance autochtones et l'accès à l'ingénierie dans notre travail.
